Dr. Alex Gorelik is a consultant and educator with over two decades of combined experience in organizational communication, market research and executive coaching. As a Professor of Mass Communication, Alex currently leads an academic program accommodating approximately 150 students at Benedict College, where he designed and taught one of the first data journalism courses offered at a private educational institution in the United States.

Alex’s consulting work is focused on helping decision-makers in small- and medium-sized companies see a clear story behind organizational data and use it to inspire their employees and customers to do better business together. As a principal with gorelikonsult who pioneered an organizational storytelling approach to corporate communication, Gorelik is recognized in Who is Who in America (2020 ed.).

A past President of the South Carolina Media Educators Association and TEDx nominate, Alex Gorelik holds a Ph.D. in Mass Communications from the University of South Carolina, where his dissertation explored knowledge management processes in shipbuilding companies. Consulting and research work took him to the United States, Ukraine and Canada, Finland, Russia and South Korea.
